I was looking at their pipes and they look really really cool. I wanted to know if the actual product was as nice as the pictures. Thanks for the info =)

There was some talk on the forums a little while back about fellas who had ordered pipes directly from MacQueen and had bad experience with their customer service, even though they are a site sponsor. The opinions on the actual pipes seemed to be hit or miss; some people really liked them, others, not so much. I dont have any experience with either the company themselves or the pipes that they make, but if you were to get one, I would maybe suggest ordering them from a seller other than MacQueen. I know pipesandcigars.com sells MacQueen pipes and there might be a couple of other online retailers that sell them too. I like the looks of them and think that they are a unique concept, but I just never took the dive on one. Good luck with your hunt!
EDIT: Here is a thread I found where a guy talks about his experience with MacQueen company, not a positive one, mind you:My Bad Experience with MacQueen Pipes

Glad I asked before I committed, I'll find another retailer to buy from. Thanks again for the advice.

Personally I like mine, but I got it off of eBay and didn't have to worry about the long shipping process

I ordered a Halfling in the beginning of January still have not received it.I have sent 4 emails now asking for my order or a refund and they will not answer me.They have my money I have nothing if this sounds good to you go ahead and order from them.I am trying to steer as many people away from them as possible because losing buisiness is the best thing you can do to make them fix the problems.

I would email them and say you are a part of a forum and you want your pipe sent or they are going to lose a lot of business lol.

Yeah, I read that other thread and checked out MacQueen on BBB website. It is disappointing that this kind of service is coming from a site sponsor because it seems like all the others will bend over backward to make a customer happy.

I just received my MacQueen pipe yesterday. Ordered a customized Thorne pipe. This pipe looks like a work of art. Very beautifully crafted, can’t wait to break it in. I had similar experience to some that have posted here but not nearly as bad. I ordered the pipe first week of February 2012, originally received an email stating it would ship 4/20/12 but didn’t end up coming tell yesterday (6-11-12). So only took a little over 4 months to receive my pipe. There was a period of about a month when MacQueen wasn’t responding to my e-mails and it made me crazy. Made me think that it was something I did or said in a previous e-mail that ticked them off or something. But then when I did a search I found that my experience was quite common when dealing with MacQueen which actually calmed me down a little. Now that I have my pipe I feel like it was definitely worth the wait. These guys do excellent work but they just need to work on being more upfront with their customers and improve their communication.

Don't order from MacQueen....my 7 month ordeal began on Christmas Day 2011 after purchasing a $100 gift certificate for $50 (great deal) as long as I ordered after Christmas. Of course I ordered "ranger" pipe (plus other items) on 26 Dec and eagerly awaited my pipe (8-12 weeks delivery window) expecting the 12 week arrival to be a bit more accurate. The end of March came and went with no shipment. I sent an email inquiring about my order and received a nice email from Stephanie describing a problem with my order and a promise that a pipe would be in the mail in the next few weeks. April, May and June came and went with no shipment. Another email with a longer wait for a response. Stephanie promised (again) that another pipe would be placed in the queue for my order within the week. After another couple of weeks, I emailed again to alert the company that neither the first or second shipments had arrived. No response after 7 days. Another email....no response. About 10 days ago, I requested a refund for my original order...no response. The (non-existent) customer service after happily taking my money 7 months ago really aggravates me.
