Hey folks,

I’m Brady and I’m from Alabama (just down the road from a wonderful pipe B&M, The Briary). I’m a PhD student in American history and I’ve been smoking a pipe for about a decade now. I love Va/Pers and drinking whole milk while having a pipe (I know it sounds weird, just try it!). I decided to totally get off of social media a few months back (great decision) and I feel like this forum will be a good way to stay connected to the pipe community. Happy to be here!

Hey Brady, welcome from Idaho! You chose a great line of study to pair with a pipe, that's for sure! No judgement on the milk thing. I grew up drinking icy cold glasses of milk with pizza and spaghetti. So good, but my wife thinks I'm a weirdo for it. She just doesn't understand. Also, good call on nixing social media. Life is far better without it.

It's great up here: quiet, friendly, slow-paced, lots of nature (which means lots of snow for half of the year), and lots of history; even the big cities feel like small towns (because they are). We lived in the Chicago area for 8 years, and then moved up here: it's a whole different world.
