My favorite is Noodlers QE3. It’s a blue black.

It’s also waterproof.

Crazy story, I received a call from our local police department detective bureau telling me a check of mine was found in raid of a check washing scheme. Of the roughly 1,000 checks recovered, mine was the only check that the scumbags couldn’t wash the ink out of. The police were blown away. Noodlers QE3. lol.
I bought and use Plot inks for the same reason. I'm pretty sure ts the same as the G2 ink. I also use the Deluxe checks with all the latest security features... and because the paper is better for fountain pens - not much more in cost than others.

Unfortunately I am not able to use fountain pens. I press far to hard on the paper. Im a roller ball guy.
You can see the imprint of what I write 13 pages deep. :(
Im like a ditto machine!
Are there still ditto machines?
I remember several times when my mom came home from her job as a school teacher with blue ditto fluid all over her cloths. She would cross thread the cap, so when she turned the fluid bottle over, it would go everywhere. This was in the 1970s. :)

Funny thing about fountain pens is how little pressure they require. It took about a month of writing utter gibberish on scratch paper to get the “feel”. Now I’m stuck and can’t go back. lol

The pen I reach for every day. Every day. Is a TWSBI Diamond 580 with medium Nib.

I carry two Lamy 2000 as my out and about pens

I also own a Narwhal Nautilus - they changed their name to something silly - medium nib

I also own a Conid Bulkfiller that is amazing.

That and about 20 other pens.

Fountain pens are like pipes in that a cheap fountain pen can be as good as a high end artisan. Example. I own a Parker Jotter than has never, never, ever, ever failed me.

All medium nibs. As a left handed human a fine point pen is a weapon.

The TWSBI diamond 580 is a pretty and great pen. Also the Vac 700R is really comfortable to write with as it's slightly bigger.

I have changed from being a left handed overwriter, to an underwriter. Feels more comfortable now that I'm used to it, and I don't smudge the ink so much.
But my handwriting has become more upright (see photo) whereas before it sloped to the right.

Here are mine. The Pilot with the falcon nib is my favorite. I used to have to make certificates after graduation of my classes and the calligraphy pens allowed me to bypass our useless, cheap, truly horrible printer. I would outsource printing of the forms on special paper and handwrite the names of students on the forms. Actually quite fast, much faster than using the office printer. I had stacks of the certificate forms available, I just had to write the names. The Pilot pens work well. The Lamy often has to be primed to work. ( Scroll down to see all 4 pens)pens.JPG

I used to buy, collect and write with vintage fountain pens; sheaffer, parker, waterman,, etc then went down the Chinese brand rabbit hole then went to pipes. Unfortunately I never got into the larger modern piston fillers.

Another fountain pen fan here. My collection is composed almost exclusively of Bexley pens, which I got into because they were manufactured in Columbus. The owner retired and sold the company a couple of years ago; they are still being made somewhere but are not as widely distributed as before the sale. I visted the manufacturing site on several occasions and got to know the owner. They were reliable, well made, and attractive pens. I don't use them as much as when I was able to actively collect them but still do on occasion.
