Happy Day!

My son married a gal 3+ years ago. She came with a beautiful baby girl. Mac has been the light of our lives as grandparents.

They served the biological father papers that they were going to terminate his parental rights because he has had no contact

with Mac in the almost 5 years since she has been in this world. He decided to fight it and for 2 years has been making their

life miserable. Yesterday he came from NY to Iowa and walked into court this morning and just signed the papers.
Maybe he got a conscience, maybe he just didn't care. Either way it is a blessing that it is over and now my son can start the

adoption process. He has been the only dad that Mac has ever known and now it will be legal.

My wife and I just adopted a two year old boy. I can attest to the significance of "making it official". When the judge finally made his decree, my whole life changed. I'm rooting for your son and his family! Congratulations!!

Congratulations, one of the best feelings is when a court battle ends in your favor and the stress from worrying is done. I bet it feels like a major weight has been lifted and you can live life again.
