Happy Canada Day!
BTW, the Canadian government ripped off my family for about $5,000,000,000. With 30 years of compound interest it's now closer to $10,000,000,000. I think I could broker a settlement without military action. Just turn over Schwartz's Deli and we're good.

sable', I don't know if you can share, but it sounds like a huge backstory. Did Canada confiscate the family-run deli. Or I'll make up my own story.

Alaskan, there is probably 6 people with Canadian passports living above Alaska! I think your comment fits [:D]

Haha! Well, I think there're more than 6 in Resolute. Thinking of which, reminded me of this man, the late Bezal Jesudason who wanted to be the first man to reach the North Pole by elephant. He certainly put many cold-fearing, southern-border-hugging Canadians to shame.
Di—, er, Lumberman shanks' measuring aside, always wanted to visit Alaska. Bet the hunting is great there.
Now, back to pondering on which blend is best to celebrate our national holiday with... :puffpipe:

Hahaha, I'm sure living in Resolute would be quite an adventure. I've spent a good bit of time in villages on Alaska's arctic coast, and life there is certainly no picnic, but certainly a unique experience that not many people in the world can say they've had. I can't imagine living there, or somewhere like Resolute full time.

It certainly is. Just like Yukon/NWT Canada we have trophy moose, caribou, blacktail deer, bear, roosevelt elk, dall sheep, mountain goat, etc. Not to mention world class trout, char, grayling, king salmon, red salmon, silver salmon, halibut, ling cod, rockfish, etc. Like many parts of Canada, it is a sportsman's/outdoorsman's paradise for sure.

Happy holiday on the day itself! Beautiful cities and magnificent wilderness, what's not to like? With a maple leaf on the flag.

My family celebrated Canada Day with a BBQ, and then my father and I drank some canadian whiskey and smoked pipes together.
