No BBQ today but this was Saturday. Brisket! The smoker was my design. I built it about 15 years ago. I only use hickory splits. Didn’t get a pic sliced but, yes the ring was beautiful.

Throw a couple of tri-tips into the smoke. They're basically a large sirloin. Best of all, by cooking too many, great sandwiches for a few days. You won't be disappointed.

Additionally, if you have a butcher, buy them untrimmed, lots of fat cap.

any idea of a confederation came to an end when several states were punished, massively in some cases, for attempting to secede. So, any pretense of a confederation ended in the mid-1800's.

Warren I'm quite certain you're well aware, when I said "the original articles of confederation" I was referring to the articles that predated the constitution...so I don't know why you bring up the much later war between the states which had nothing whatsoever to do with my comment...except perhaps to stir the pot a bit.

But just in case you were sincerely confused, I thought it best to clarify. But I think you were just stirring.
