Still working on the move from the 9th level of hell. But little by little it’s getting done. Other than that it’s life as usual, cranking out color for WBA, and putting out fires.
Next month I head for Santa Fe for a week. I’m looking forward to some great New Mexican cooking (is there any other kind?) and some Opera. Maybe check out Meow Wolf.
Hoping that the weather takes pity on us while we’re there.

Hot, hot and more hot here. A storm knocked out my power yesterday and, although it's back on as of a couple of hours ago, now my AC blower fan has stopped working. Got up to 92 degrees in here today. Second night of very uncomfortable sleeping ahead. Repairman tomorrow.

I have a walkout basement that I finally decided to finish off. Done with framing a hallway and bedroom suite with full bath and walk in closet, pulled wire and ran ductwork. Doing it with my youngest son who goes 6’ 250 pounds of solid muscle. Sure is nice to have him with me for this.
In two weeks we head to the green river by flaming gorge for a camp float trip and some world class fishing.

Well, I had my left hip replaced on July 14th. The following week was a little rough, my 7 year old granddaughter was staying with us then, and she was a big help, constantly fetching things I forgot to grab, putting paps socks on and just making me smile.

I bought a slot car set. We put that together and had some fun with a short oval. The next week, her mother, son-in-law and two-year old grandson came up. They stayed a week. It was hotter than hell here in Maryland that week, so they used the pool daily. I was able to get out on the patio for dinner in the evenings.

I started driving again last Friday. I'll likely return to work on the 14th

Every year, I get a picture of each of them in the MGB. My turnsignal and windshield washer stalks barely survived the two-year old's assault.

Pre-surgery, lightening bug capture. These don't exist in Louisiana.

My two-year old loves to read, that, I could do. Unfortunately, he loved reading the same six books, endlessly.

Not a bad way to wrap the month of July!
Grandchildren are the best. It's difficult to explain to people who don't have any. It's a totally different kind of love.

I hope you're not as young as I thought you were. I always thought you were one of those younger people that was a little bit more mature. So if my first guess is right wow.... you've lived fast ;).
