Hairline Crack

I have one pipe with a couple hairline cracks on rhe rim. Doesn’t seem to affect the smoking. Do I need to do anything?

This just looks like a tiny flaw in the briar. I wouldn't worry about it. It doesn't look like it originated in the chamber. It appears like it flows down into the smooth section, probably the reason why they rusticated it but didn't get all the flaw.

Just smoke it.
If down the road it cracks worse, you can deal with it. I've been smoking pipes with cracks like that for 2 decades without them growing.

If you keep the pipe reamed to a reasonable cake thickness it won’t progress. If you let the cake go unmaintained it’ll be splitsville.

It’s called Maine Pipe Smoker. Don’t know who actually made them.
