Hey there, so had my birthday early in May and just finished Lord of the Rings (for the 3rd time) and was like ‘that’s it! I have to try this’
With COVID I couldn’t get to a pipe shop and wanted to see it in the flesh before coughing up $100+ dollars. So I made a few pipes to try this hobby. Australian hard woods.

I ordered 40g of Nutty Irishman (which I luved and finished) and 20g of Autumn evenings, a pipe tool and pipe cleaners (didn’t realise where the name of these arts and crafts supplies I had used as a kid came from ?) all from Alexander’s in Melbourne.

Been watching loads of videos and just luv this hobby. Having about 4-5 bowels a week and it’s just great.
I have since bought some tobacco from some of the forum members here who live in Australia also. (it’s $100+ for 50g/1.7oz from the normal retailers).

Couldn’t find a section on the forum where I could post my home made pipes so thought I’d do it here in the ‘hello’ section.
Thank you to the people who run this forum. I know there is a lot of work and am grateful.
Happy piping!!!

Yep, it's insane. Especially when you want to try a bunch of things to find what you like.

Thanks budy! Was in New Orleans last year. Great place (and food!!!), and luvley people!
Yes indeed! Glad you enjoyed it here. I've been fortunate to travel to Aus several times over the last few years and it's always a highlight. Fantastic people, scenery, food, and probably the best coffee I've had anywhere. Love Melbourne so much. Also Byron Bay, Mullumbimby, Sydney, Deni. All great memories, hope to return after this virus is over!

Yep, I lived in most of those. Ballina right near Byron, Melbourne ❤️, just out of Sydney...
Let me know when you’re coming next and we can share a pipe and coffee. ?
