Never let your abuelita talk you into letting her dry habeñeros in the house. Had to convince her to let me take them and the dehydrator outside. My house smells like spicy.
We're doing it to get the seeds. I usually air dry them but she said "this es faster mijo."Yum!!
We Cubans love spicy but we do like our food to have flavor. I make a mean arroz con camarones. Top that off with tapa tio and its amazing.Hot-hot-hot. I enjoy a little heat in my food, especially Indian, Thai, and Chinese, but I still want to be able to taste the other ingredients in the food.
At a Thai restaurant the waiter warned me not to eat the little pale green pepper in my clear broth soup. It imparted flavor but wasn't for chewing. The soup was excellent.
Me too. Melinda’s is my readily available go-to. Habeneros don’t only add heat, they have a smokiness and depth of flavor that other pepper’s don’tI love habaneros... and sauces that include them.
I enjoy Tapito or Valentina (black) as a table sauce for Hispanic food. And Tapito hot fries (found at Dollar Tree) are great. Here's my favorite View attachment 252240
I prefer their Calypso Sauce.
