H.R.4439 - Tobacco Tax Parity Act of 2010???

Curious to know if anyone has insight into when congress will decide on whether or not to amend the H.R.4439 - Tobacco Tax Parity Act of 2010 to tax pipe tobacco as they do for roll-your-own tobacco?

After a very quick search there doesn't appear to be any recent activity on this bill. We'll see once the "new" Congress is seated in January. I wrote to my reps about this and will continue to do so. I urge everyone here to do likewise.

It seems to have fallen off the radar of the lawmakers. Many tobacco industry insiders feel it will just die in committee.

With extensions of tax breaks the Feds will be looking at all avenues for revenue. The "sin taxes" are the easiest pickings, so we can not let our guard down. Gasoline, booze and tobacco are never far from the front burner. Keep hammering your Reps in D.C.

And thus the reason im stockpiling tobacco like a crazy man i dont wanna get caught like i did when i was doing the rolling tobacco for cigarettes. Thankfully since i discovered a pipe that part of my nicotine addiction is almost dead.

I don't trust any politician when it comes to tobacco legislation. I'm stockpiling tobacco like its no tomorrow. Other than taxes I fear that someday they may go as so far as to ban internet sales.......All the more reason to stockpile tobacco.

Yeah I stock pile for many reasons! The main reason (of course I say that about every one of my reasons) for me is that I am hoping, when they ban tobacco outright, they will say you can keep what you already own! I will be set :D
