I've read that Gardesana pre-turns bowls for Peterson. I've got a couple of their pipes, very nice.

I have/ had several H.I.S pipes, including a bent apple that looked eerily similar to yours. My first few briars were H.I.S, purchased for about what you bought yours for. I found them to be a better value than Grabow, they both smoke and look better. Same vein though, like preferring early Kinks to the Beatles.
