I quit posting about tobaccos I really like because of the excessive buying/hoarding. I'm pretty sure there's no danger of that happening here because it's not a VA, VAPER, or heavy English (they seem to be the most heavily hoarded). Anyway, Hearth & Home Daybreak gets no love, and I don't really understand why. I'm smoking some I jarred from bulk back in 2012, and it's just delicious. Obviously, it's not a Lat bomb, but I don't really care for those, especially not early in the day.
What it is, is a well-rounded, easy puffing smoke. I find it a little more full and round than Dunhill EMP. Honestly, a little closer to London Mixture than EMP, but then I haven't smoked EMP in a while -- the last time I did, it was the older stuff. Maybe I'm somewhat of an oddity in that I like balanced blends. I'll smoke lat bombs and Balkans, but I like blends where the different varietals complement each other rather than one type stealing the show. Maybe some people are of the mindset, "Why buy Daybreak when I can buy EMP?" From my standpoint, Daybreak (and McClelland AM Pipe) are better than EMP.
Does anyone else like this blend, or has it gone "Downhill" over the past couple years?

I haven't smoked it since 2014 and I remember it as a mild easy going English smoke. I have not had EMP so I can't compare, and I'm really more of a burley/Virginia smoker, but I did enjoy it and had bought 4 oz of it back in 2013. This makes me want to break it out and try it again. I do not care much for Lat bombs and also prefer a more balanced blend. Russ made it so you know it's got good genes

Dunhill makes such a number of English blends with subtle differences that I never found any reason to try any other brands for English. I like Nightcap, MM965 and The Aperitif. Nighcap is the mackdaddy English, MM965 is technically a Scottish and so is Aperitif, which I like a bit better due to the Lat not asserting itself over the other components.

There's so many under the radar blends out there that it's impossible to get to them all.
Two from H&H that I thought were also good were Drawing Room and Ambassador's Blend.
