According to Standard Tobacco of Pennsylvania’s marketing campaign, Warhorse is supposed to taste like shit, not urine.
Maybe after Sutliff took over the brand they reformulated the topping to be more piss-forward???
I have the formulation for War Horse as does Dan. I want to talk with him but I am not averse to making it available to Joe Q Lunch Box. In fact if you can get whole threshed leaf tobacco and a press you might be able to make a proper plug as opposed to the 'blug' that was marketed. The binding agents were Gum Arabic and Madeira Wine. More to follow.

That's a shame. I'm pretty well stocked on their offerings but its sad to see them go.
I had always thought of the Hearth & Home line of tobaccos as their more premium offerings. This news can only be the canary in the coil mine I'm afraid...
Bengal Slices is near the top of my list of favorites. I'd already rationed it to about a small pipe a week. Probably have about small jar (half a tin) left.
