In the cigar world Gurkha is a monster chasing profit. Very few like their cigars. Poor reputation overall. Rocky Patel has a lot of cigars with an uneven reputation, and no doubt is chasing profit. I have an idea. Make profit serve the legitimate financial needs of yourself and your employees, and make the very best commodity possible. By all means don't be greedy, as that ruins everything.

I know about Gurkha cigars, their reputation and methods. In fact my question about their pipe tobacco stems from the dubious nature of Gurkha's cigar line.

Russ commenting on his formulating the East Indian line gives credit to the idea that Gurkha did something right here. The question remains what are your opinions of both or either tobacco lines and who helped blend the Gurkha labeled line.
PS I believe Russ. So at least with the East Indian line of blends, it does not appear to be a rebranding.
