Thanks Seanz, and the rest of you guys also. I was thinking of growing next spring. I do have a potting shed with a clear roof that I start my veggie seeds in as early in spring as I can. The problem I have is our soil is clay. I have been building the soil in 8 raised beds for the last 7 years adding mushroom compost and any compost from my home compost bin. I'm starting to transition one bed to some winter veggies like sugar snap peas, kale and mustard greens. I am lucky with a few season extending tricks I can grow certain veggies all winter long in the micro climate in California.
Cool web sites you linked me to Seanz! I think the curing side of tobacco growing will be tricky? This time of year I get my winter beds set then I get my spring catalogs in the mail and I geek out on what to grow next season.
How many plants do you put in each year and how much do you harvest from that? I have an 8 foot long bed and was thinking of at least one 8 foot row if not two rows.
