I may have missed it in the thread, but is this a limited edition, or are you expecting to have regular production?

How is that possible given that it was not in production ON August 8, 2007?
I think a safe assumption would be that it will be regular production until the new regulations take effect. They will keep making it as long as there is a demand, and as long as they are aloud.

the question of limited edition vs regular production in this case is a distinction without a difference. unless there's a legal upheaval emanating from the courts or congress all new blends will be gone in the fairly near future. if you want to try the drucquer blends i'd hop on it. like everybody else, i think now is the time to build up your cellar.

The pricing does seem a little 'gouge-y'. Given that Pease 2 oz tins are $10.63. Unless these blends contain some sort of rare or expensive leaf it would seem the price should be more like $16-17. Just my two cents.

Love the tin art. Picked up Blairgowrie, Inns of Court and Trafalgar. Looking forward to trying them, thanks for bringing back some old blends Greg!

$21.25/tin? 8O Mmmmm.....No.
Compared to the McClellands, Rattray's and Mac Baren's 100g tins these 100g tins are around $3 to $5 more. However they are in the price range of the Solani's and Dan Tobacco.
If you break it down to cost per gram and compare it to the 2oz GL Pease tins then you're looking at roughly 13% more for these(Assuming my math is correct). Certainly not a deal breaker for me. (21.25 cents per gram vs 18.75 cents per gram.(56.699 grams per 2 oz))
I will gladly be trying them to see if I can find a new blend to add to my rotation.

I jumped right on this one and ordered them all.
Not having sampled the legendary Drucquer's when the shop was still open, I eagerly look forward to this iteration.
To me, this is a win-win. If I love the baccy (as I do GLP's own offerings), then I have a tasty addition to my cellar that will only get better with the passage of time. On the other hand, if I do not like them (wildly improbable), then at least I have an investment which will most likely yield far more than any conventional security.
These brands are a little more expensive than others, but quality usually commands a premium.
Greg Pease is a phenomenal tobacconist, and he was well acquainted with the original blends. I have every confidence that these releases are bound for glory, especially as the post 2007 regulations begin to bite and these sadly short-lived creations gradually disappear.
There - I have just talked myself into placing another order ;)
