She teaches for the PRM program and has historically taught Intro and Advanced Rock Climbing. She's finishing her degree in Experiential and Outdoor Education. I'm winding down my own degree in Professional Counseling. Finally growing upWhat is her field of study? We love it there! It's just a damn long way from Wilmington, no matter which way you go
Oh you're a funny one! I appreciate the humor!Welcome aboard I hate to be pedantic (actually love it, do it for fun) but it's North West not North "place in reference" west. Sorry got to tease the new guys. It's in my contract.
Oh by the way have a very similar pipe. Mine is straight. Great pipe and I almost never smoke it. I just don't like how light meers are.
If it was a thousand dollar pipe I'd be like what are you doing man. But at most you paid about 100 for it and it's not made out Styrofoam or anything like that. Pipes and sitting in a good nature spot is quite a combo.Oh you're a funny one! I appreciate the humor!
The pipe was a wedding gift and I rarely smoke it for similar reasons as you noted. The year prior to the picture, I was on my first trip down the Canyon and was sitting in the same spot thinking, "You know, a pipe wouldn't be so bad with this view." Some other smokers called me risky for bringing it on such a rough trip. But plenty of explorers traveled with pipes with much less protection and padding in years past.
I spend a good amount of time on the Chattooga, so Clayton isn't a terrible place to land for a few hours...Welcome from the North GA mountains. We need to start a pipe club for the Western NC/North GA area. Desperately wish this area had one.
Welcome to the forum ! Light up a bowl and enjoy your time here !Hey everyone! Greetings from the western NC mountains! I've been smoking for well over a decade and have enjoyed my journey through various pipes and tobaccos! I was turned away from aromatics fairly quickly and stayed with Burley and VA blends for a good while. Over the past year I have developed an affinity for English/Orientals and VaPer's. I am fortunate to be able to smoke 7-10 bowls a week and enjoy the reflective experience that smoking a pipe can provide.
I enjoy high-adventure hobbies such as whitewater kayaking and rock climbing and have been able to bring a pipe and tobacco (or three) on most endeavors. A few years ago, while on my second trip down the Grand Canyon, I was able to smoke my meerschaum churchwarden while enjoying the Nankoweep Grainery view. Truly an awesome experience to enhance with a pipe and some good tobacco! I look forward to communicating/collaborating in these forums and enjoying the welcoming community that pipe smoking has developed.
Cheers!
