Hello, fellow pipe enthusiasts. Even though I've smoked pipes for around five years now, I still feel like quite the newbie. I haven't really had any other pipe smokers nearby to bring me along in technique and in thinking about different pipes and tobaccos. I have eight MMs and three briars, including two Savinellis. I have a small variety of tobaccos, but I'm still learning what the different types and blends mean and which are my favorites. I'm looking forward to learning from and with you guys.
Welcome from Virginia

Welcome from NYC. Love Kramer trying to look sophisticated smoking a pipe while talking and dropping ashes on himself! Hilarious!

It takes just minute or two to learn to smoke a cigarette, but pipe smoking is a whole new deal. You've either got to get on YouTube and find some who knows what he is doing (I like muttnchoppiper) or have a local guru. The best advice we can give you is don't pack your pipe so tight and smoke it a lot slower.

Welcome from both CT & VT! I’m part time in SW VT near Manchester - What part of the state are you in?
Thanks for the greeting. I'm in Essex. But I'm a native of Georgia, hence the handle "flatlander," which is what Vermonters call people not native to Vermont. As a presidential history buff, I've been down to Manchester twice to visit Hildene and the neighboring cemetery where one of RT Lincoln's children is buried.
