Howdy folks, I'm a newbie pipesmoker, its been right around a month since I bought a Missouri Meerschaum corncob and began my journey. So far I've only smoked two blends, Captain Black and Larry's blend (the personal blend of my local pipe shop owner). I believe Larry's blend incorporates Captain Black and two others, I don't recall what; it is a bit sweeter than Captain Black though. I'm 18 and I ship off to boot camp this September to become a US Marine. Living in the beautiful Pacific North West of the US, I love to hike and drink coffee like everyone else around here. I enjoy playing guitar, particularly Johnny Cash songs, my favorite musician. I look forward to learning everything I can from you fellows!

Welcome to the forums from another Washingtonian. Good luck on your journey in the world of pipes and pipe smoking. FYI, there is not much of a selection in the local shops here in Clark County so I suggest going across the river to Portland and visit 82nd Ave. Tobacco and Pipe. Much better selection and better prices.
