We are planning to visit Palermo and possibly other areas in Sicily, this Spring. Are there many tabaccheria that sell tinned pipe tobaccos there? It was difficult to find pipe tobacco when we visited Olbia, last year.

in many tabaccherie you will find tobacco in pouch like Amphora, Mac Baren, STG. If you search for tinned tobaccos you can visit my preferred: Tabaccheria Riggio, via Dante 82 in Palermo, from 1920 sells pipes and tobaccos, also in tin like Peterson, Robert MC Connell, Rattrays, Solani, Capstan, and many others. It's near Politeama, and the city center.
Unfortunately S.Gawith and others are no more distribuited in Italy.
