Greeting my fellow Mid-westerner. Never be ashamed of pipe smoking. I am a physician and lunt proudly in my small community.

I ride motorcycle and used to avoid Nebraska whilst riding. More recently I have discovered some nice rides in Nebraska thanks to the helmet law repeal.

Part of the Furniture Now
Howdy! I’m from Nebraska. I’ve been smoking a pipe since 2017, and I’ve never looked back. I started smoking with a Dr. Grabow and Captain Black. After a wicked bout of tongue bite, I eventually figured out how to slow down and savor the flavor of the tobacco. I was hooked! I branched out almost immediately, buying briars and a couple cobs, and whatever tobacco I could afford. As a novice pipe smoker, I definitely tried stuff my palate was nowhere near ready for! Plum Pudding, Hood Canal, EMP, etc. I eventually discovered University Flake by Peterson, and that’s been my favorite tobacco for the past 6 years. I always keep a tin or 3 aging in my “cellar.” Nowadays, I’m partial to English and Balkan blends. My current favorite Latakia blend is C&D’s Byzantium. It’s good stuff! I like to smoke it out of an old Kaywoodie I picked up at my local shop.

I work in education, so I don’t get to smoke as much as I’d like, and definitely not in public, but it’s a huge part of my life and I’m excited to be part of a group like this!

Have a very happy Thanksgiving, everyone!!
I see from another post you put up in the "What Are You Smoking Today" that you also are a musician. I worked in the Professional Symphonic field for years, as a violinist, conductor and resident composer of a few symphony orchestras. Welcome to the fold. Having also worked in education at both the public and college level, I get the tobacco problem just fine! lol See u around the forum!
