I started smoking a pipe in 1959 but had given it up for many years. I stopped smoking cigarettes in 1989--and all other forms of tobacco at the same time. I have several pipes that could be worth a lot of money but have no desire to sell them yet. What I am looking for are two brands of my favorite tobacco back in those days but haven't been available for some time. I'm looking for a Balkan Sobranie substitute and also a Flying Dutchman substitute as well. Any suggestions? Thanks, Mark

Welcome aboard from central North Carolina. I never had the original, so I could set you up for disappointment, but I have been enjoying Sutliff Balkan Sobranie 759 Match quite a bit, available in bulk from SP. You did what I always recommend -- if people quit their pipes, they should save a rotation of pipes and perhaps a few blends. It's so much better than starting all over, such a savings, and the pipes are pre-selected by you. Finally a question: Is there now, or has there ever been, a bowling green in Bowling Green?
