Why: It will save time for others as to where you live when you mention local stores, weather, tobacco prices, availability, regulations, location of photos, wildfires, air quality, etc. In many instances that saves time for those who read your posts, and for you in not having to reply to inquiries. .
How:
Under your avatar, (top right, left most of three symbols) you choose "Account Details", which brings up "My Account". "My Location" is halfway down. Whatever you're comfortable with- town, city, county, state. province, etc.
Thank you for "nudging me along" Johnny; I'm aware I am slow engaging in Forum life and conversation, neglect common courtesy (as you've helpfully pointed out) and also tend to forget how humor and misunderstandings occur while casually typing away. I feared my response to MtGeo may have crossed a subtle line - and feared that was why you notified me! I don't view myself as controversial ... but that can be a mistake ...I realized once more! - you probably know too well how that works-out! Welcome from Bellingham, WA! North Bend is a beautiful part of the state; I used to drive through there all the time on my way to Alpental back when I snowboarded. When it was time to move out of Seattle a few years back it was on the short list.
