Back in the late 80's while working for the American Airline division down in San Antonio. Myself and a good friend would often find ourselves after work, at his house. While the wife prepared us a good meal, we would be outside brewing beer. He would make Raspberry beer. Later that evening, we would pull up lawn chairs out in front and smoke our pipes and discuss current topics. Back then there were only the two of us who smoked pipes, out of what seemed a good portion of San Antonio. Pipes seemed to be relegated to the parts of town that featured opera.
