The last two summers weren't too bad under the La Nina weather influence [though we've had five serious floods in that time]
The summer previous to these two, the end of a long El Nino pattern, the years of the mega-bushfires, was simply brutal.
Heat wave after heatwave with a top temp of 49*C - 120*F [and I don't have aircon . . . though that wont make much difference with the 'green' nonsense. We'll be lucky to have reliable power once the power stations close and we're reliant on wind and sunshine]
There was no relief from the heat.
Even at 8am when I took my dog for his daily walk, one could feel the heat coming off the road and pavement.
Hopefully this summer will be pleasant without any more floods, so I'll enjoy it while I can before that little bugger El Nino returns next year.
True - forgot about the wildfires. But when you've lived them, and the heatwave, that's impossible.

Welcome doc! Have had several good buds who were flight surgeons along the way. I admire those good people in medicine…hope your pipe is a pleasant way to relax after a long day of helping people.

Regards,
OM
