Then you tasted grass. Taste is subjective. Your experiences are the only ones that should matter to you.

While smell influences taste, they're not exactly the same. No one will judge you if you admit to chewing on a cow pie. Do you prefer your cow pies with or without corn? If you chew on one from a strictly grass feed core, perhaps you'll experience both the grassy and shitty flavors.

I've found C&D Sunday Picnic to have the most barnyard tin note of any blend I've smoked. The taste bears no resemblence.

Guar-own-teed I will be judged if I chew a cowpie. Golly, I never thought I would type that sentence. Oh well.

None. I smoke Virginias 80% off the time and I’ve never tasted grass. I’ve tasted real grass. If the tobacco tastes like that, I’d never smoke it.

I wouldn't trust any man who hasn't eaten at least one blade of grass to see what it tasted like when he was a boy.

The grassy/hay flavor to me, is when a tobacco tastes like freshly cut grass or dried hay, or green hay smells like. Almost every bright Virginia I've smoked has a what I'd describe as grass/hay. I'm with @hoosierpipeguy on saying I know what green grass tastes like, and I've never experienced that flavor in tobacco smoke.

I'm speaking from my own experience playing rugby in school with no referee's and "tackling" someone who is already face down on the ground and without the ball is okay.
