Just an FYI. Similar price per ounce alot of places as the bigger tins.

I've always wanted to try Granger but shied away at the price of a whole big tub, so I bought a 7oz tin recently.

Options are good. Searched for any similar threads and didn't find any.
Pic please! STG commercially produced? or local smoke shop or online seller offering these?

Ok. This is a little confusing. Are we being given to believe that Granger is now available both in a foil pouch and a 7 oz. tin in addition to the 12 oz. tub? Or is it just the added 7 oz. tin that's been confirmed? Either way, it's a good idea to give people a way to try Granger without buying a tub. My dad smoked Granger for fifty years, always from the pouch. When the rare gift tub arrived, he filled the pouches from the tub. My local independent pipe shop used to sell Granger by the ounce out of a tub.

Those are the kind of stories I like to hear! 50 years! I can only hope!

As I often retell, my dad smoked Granger most of the day from about age fifteen -- probably with time out for school -- to the age of 65, then quit cold turkey for a second career on a non-smoking campus. He passed on a 89 licensed to drive without glasses. He was charming and loving, and cussid and cankerous. He was a great dad to me.

Guys. What do you make of this? Smokers Pride Rich Taste (red bag) is discontinued and now it’s being sold only in 1.5 pouches.

Now STG is packaging both Granger and Half n Half in 1.5 pouches?

What’s your take on this?

My nightmare would be the discontinuance of Granger’s 12 ounce cans.

Is there something going on we don’t yet know?

PSA: The inner foil seal on my 7oz can of Granger was not sealed fully. I could easily squeeze air out of the can which would leak through visible voids in the sides of the seal.

As a result, I wouldn't recommend counting on storing any of the new 7oz cans for long term.

Yeah it's weird some of the OTC blends ate going big-tub-only, while STC obviously sees there is a reason to offer a smaller can/tub.
Yeah, I mean, I smoke enough to justify the tubs don't get me wrong. I just physically enjoy the whole pouch aspect of it for some reason.

Sir Walter Raleigh Aero is now in 7oz cans too. Just ordered one. My usual place didn’t have the 12oz cans in stock but had the new 7oz cans. Hope they’re not discontinuing the larger 12 oz tub.
