I just bought a gourd that is missing the bowl insert and would really like to find a meerschaum one. Does anyone have an insert from a broken pipe or something or know of a reputable dealer?

I have never checked, but some of the meerschaum manufacturers will make custom pipes, so they may be willing to make a bowl insert.

Get a meerschaum pipe maker to make you one, chances are one from another pipe won't fit properly and you need a new cork fitting. It could work, but I'd want a nice, new insert if it was mine

Most any pipe repair shop will fit a new bowl for you.
I've used Frank Storm and Walker Briar Works in the past, both do excellent work.

I've emailed Baki and now I'm waiting for a response. I'll take it into a local B&M to inquire this week as well, I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to acquire a bowl I just don't want to pay an arm and a leg.
