That really is a beautiful pipe. The grain is magnificent. Now I have to start looking for a Stanwell. I'll tell my wife its YOUR wife's fault, lol.

So I've been smoking since about July and have 3 cobb pipes and 1 cheap 30$ amazon briar pipe. My wife got me my first objectivley pretty pipe to add to my rotation
Probably not as bespoke as some of the nice ones but i love the burl and graining of it. Its an absolutely stunning pipe in my eyes!!
Even better it smokes so much nicer than my cobb and cheapo briar pipe!!! It actually stays lit much longer and the draws are much easier. Definitely will look to establish a bigger pipe collection over time.View attachment 117061View attachment 117062View attachment 117063

Your wife did an amazing job of selecting an awesome pipe! Absolutely beautiful. And don’t be fooled, it will smoke just as good as any five-thousand dollar “Artisan” pipe!
Excellent. I believe that shape was designed by Sixten Iverson, the renewed carver who also designed a several pipes for Stanwell. That's great grain.
