Irish, from one Airborne brother to another you KNOW how hard you had to dig deep to go out there every day and where those wings. That extra mile during your run, the extra push ups nobody else was doing that day. You are cut from a cloth that exceeds expectations. You are a RANGER you are the elite, you go where everyone else is afraid to go.
WHAT MANNER OF MEN ARE THOSE WHO WEAR THE Maroon Beret?
They are firstly all volunteers and are toughened by hard physical training. As a result they have that infectious optimism and that offensive eagerness which comes from physical well being. They have jumped from the air and by doing so have conquered fear.
Their Duty lies in the vain of battle. They are proud of this honor and have never failed in any task. They have the highest standards in all things whether it be skill in battle or smartness in exertion of all peacetime duties. They have shown themselves to be as tenacious in defense as they are courageous in the attack. They are in fact, Men apart every man an Emperor.
Of all the factors which make for success in battle, the spirit of the Warrior is the most decisive. That spirit will be found in full measure in the Men who wear the Maroon Beret.
Airborne!
Never forget Brother, we are many and we support our own. I know you are one of the toughest sons of bitches that ever walked I don't know you personally but I know our kind. Surrender is not your creed. Stand straight jumper, square those soldiers and sound off. There is still work to be done. When times are tough the family here and the Airborne family will be there for you!
Rangers LEAD the way!

If you don't mind my saying, these types of experiences will only make a person stronger in a genuine way. Most people have crosses to bear, some worse than others. You've been handed a tough one, and it takes time to truly make peace with it. If you ask me, being able to talk about it shows your strength and maturity.

Irish, glad to see you are feeling better. We all need to vent sometime and no better place than here with friends. Always remember you are an elite soldier who adapts and overcomes. Focus on the good stuff and have a Merry Christmas with your family.

Where the hell are you? I know Courtney can just ask at the local VFW or American Legion for help, and you'll

have people over there to build you some rails and whatever you need around the tub! Send her over to have a

beer...... I know you may not want to ask for help, but please do ---- You'll make those guys feel good to

do it....I swear!

Besides reinforcing that towel rack you might look into a grab bar type of thing that attaches to the side of the tub. I bought one several years ago for my first wife. That one slipped over the tub edge and could be tightened to hold it in position, but was easily removed if needed.Worked quite well for her. Google found several-including this one--

Thank you for your service!

Don't know how your bathroom is setup but if you have a place near the tub with open wall you may also want to consider a small bar or ring for hanging wash clothes so they build don't build up bacteria

You have to be one of my favorite forum members Irish simply because you are a stand up guy and the epitome of a gentleman with an Irish heart. As my stepdad, a Marine, taught me and something I live by, Improvise, Adapt, and Overcome.
