Call pipesandcigars.com tell them you want high nicotine tobaccos they can hook you up with a nice sampler pack.
Look for burley blends also. They have a higher bicotine content. I am an ex nail smoker and surprisingly enough I smoke a lot of Latakia blends which have almost no nicotine now because it has some of the stronger flavors.

I've been teeting on the verge of quitting as well. 5 Brothers is good but the taste is very similar to cigs but the affect is less than. Basically, you'll want to have a cig when you're done smoking it. The up-shot is that you can inhale it without doing more harm than smoking a cig and it may help retrain you on your nic delivery method. I have fallen in love Vapers that tend to the stronger (looking at my table in front of me I see Haddo's, Triple Play, Escudo and I'm smoking Irish Flake as I type).
One that I'm going to try in my next TAD is H,G&Co Dark Birdseye. I hear that's a kick in the pants. One of the things I try to do is just troll the forum posts for high nic tobaccos and then check them out on tobaccoreviews.com. Generally, anything rated a medium or higher is probably good to go.
Just expect to sweat.

I used to smoke cigarettes and there is really no pipe tobacco that will satisfy you with the level of nicotine that you are used to getting from cigarettes. In my case, pipe tobacco would simply just peak my nicotine level up enough to a point where I needed to smoke a cigarette after a pipe to not feel edgey. I don't mean to come off as being flip, but that was my experience. That being said, Half and Half is easy to find and has a good bit of nicotine in it. Jacknife Plug is also strong in the nicotine department.

Peterson University Flake. This stuff thumps me each time I smoke it. I can feel the nicotine in it, in the back of my throat and I don't inhale. I too am working on moving away from cigs to the pipe full time. What I do is roll my own cigs, it's cheaper and your going to get a better product than those mass produced nails you get in the store. I smoke two or three in the morning, my pipe during the day at work, and maybe two or three RYOs (roll your owns) in the evening. That is unless I'm really into my pipe. Just don't give up, and most importantly stick at working to change your smoking habit. That's just my two cents.

If you want a tobacco with a good strong flavor and a ton of nicotine, try either some Cornell and Diehl Safe Harbor Flake, which is a pure Burley blend, and some Cornell and Diehl Montford Point Marine. The Montford Point Marine packs a metric ton of flavor and about as much nicotine. I smoked it on an empty stomach and the room started spinning. Great stuff!

I was a 30 yr, 2 pack a day cig smoker. I quit by using 5brothers, kendals kentucky, dark birdseye, 1792 Flake etc. My best mix to date so far is:50/50 nice and dry, kendals kentucky and dunhill nitecap.

That is the true-est statement in this whole thread ! I have been hunting for months.
NSFisher is the closest, imho, in what I do as well. Kendal's Kentucky is my go-to since it's a fine shag cut, loads easily in a small bowl for a 10-15 minute smoke and has a nicotine punch that gives me, a 30+ year cig smoker, the dizzies on occasion.
The threads Philip posted are great to explore as well.
However, I have come to the conclusion that the biggest addictive factor of nails is not just the nicotine fix. If that were the case, gum, lozenges, patches, etc would have worked for me in the past. And none of them did. I am getting more and more convinced that the biggest challenge is the oral fixation (let's keep it PG-13 on the comments), combined with the feeling to be able to inhale smoke deeply in the lungs. I have actually found that a good eCig seems to be somewhat helpful during the day. In the evenings, the pipe has proven to be more than sufficient for me lately.
Good luck, I can attest it's a tough road :puffpipe:

I found that the darker the tobacco, the more flavor you'll get, and the less you'll crave a cig because your mouth will have been overwhelmed with flavor.

With 50/50 Kendals Kentucky and Dunhill Nitecap, I still inhale about every 3rd or 4th draw. Feels sharp on the throat and lungs. Stronger than a cig. and I KNOW for sure that the Nic. is sufficient.

I roll my own too and I've started rolling half cigs. It's enough to satiate the lung-burning, nic delivery but not really enough to satisfy. If I can retrain my body to think that cigs aren't satisfying, I'll be moving ahead in the game.
+1 on actually wanting to quit for it to work. You can't quit because someone else is blackmailing you or you think you should but don't really want to. Then you'll just make excuses. Believe me, I could start my second book of excuses at this point.
At this point, I'm disrupting my patterns, turning to my pipe when I get a craving and the pipe is cool or else smoking half cigs (including in the morning and on the way home from work). For someone who started out trying to quit as a pack a day kind of guy, getting down to 3 cigs (6 halves throughout the day) is a good start.
Oh, and stay positive.

Try Haddo's Delight and Cairo, both from GL Pease. And both with good nic hits and spectacular tobacco flavor.
I still roll my own (with good quality tobacco) but now mass-produced chemical cigarettes taste like s*#%. I like the tobacco more than the chemicals.
Also try Peterson Irish Flake. Very strong. I suggest rubbing it out.
I've found VaPer blends tend to take the cigarette urge away. So try Escudo, Acadian Perique, Telegraph Hill, etc.
It may just be me, but Perique is the only thing that takes my mind off rollies.

I'm not trying to hijack the thread here or anything since I've never smoked cigarettes as a habit, but do you guys find Escudo strong in the scheme of things?
I consider myself a lightweight and Escudo doesn't bother me a bit... I smoke it on an empty stomach all the time, often with coffee; if I tried that with most of the burleys I've come across I'd probably be sick as a dog.
Just curious since I saw the name mentioned more than once...

I wouldn't describe Escudo as strong. Just right - call it medium. But then I don't think Haddo's is strong either. Both are amazingly flavorful, however, in their own way.
I would call Irish Flake strong.
