Good evening ,I live in the UK and have been smoking a pipe for the past 9-10 months. I gave up tobacco ( roll ups ) 20+ years ago and just smoked pot in glass pipes I blew myself. Anyways I very rarely indulge in pot nowadays and it's like having got rid of a monkey of my shoulder .
About 9 months ago I had an urge to smoke so I bought some cigars, a cheapish packet from my local shop .
A girl at work suggested I'd be better off with a pipe, so I bought a cheap starter pipe and some samples . I knackered the pipe using flame lighters.
I broke my ankle 7 months ago so have been off work and sat on my arse nearly all day so smoke too many bowls with cups of tea.

Good evening and welcome from the Mid-Wales borders. So what tobacco(s) are you smoking these days? And what pipe(s) do you favour?

I gave up the wacky baccy some years ago - couldn't handle the strength of domestically-grown skunk. I used to like the gentler hash from Morocco and the Lebanon. Alas, those good days are now long gone.

Anyhow, good to have another Brit here :)

I mainly smoke Gawith and Hoggard twist and flakes , the strong ones . Currently got some Bosun cut , maple brown twist ,apple brown twist and some Condor . I like 1792 but can't get any at the moment.
Revor plug is delicious. I like St. Bruno too . Currently smoking a straight falcon with an apple bowl today .
I liked the strong pot but am old enough to remember leb and Morrocan also Afghani black , charas and Nepalese .

Where in mid Wales are you ? I used to be a hippy traveller and lived round Bishops Castle for a while and of course did the annual Autumn pilgrimage to Hay Bluff /Cantlin Stone.
Beautiful countryside and ace pubs at Bishops Castle.

A man of taste, I see :) Except for the 1792, that is - I just don't get the Tonquin topping... but I see Miss Moran's currently have it in loose amounts from 10g upwards, if you're desperate.

Nepalese, now - before we married, Mrs Badger (then a near neighbour) used to live with an importer, and Palm Seal used to come in packed in 1lb cotton bags. Always a thrifty woman, she used to mash the empty bags in the pot when making tea - we used to call it 'Tee-Hee'... good days - until HMRC raided the place

I'm in Ludlow. Bishop's Castle is a fine little town. The Three Tuns Brewery and The Castle Hotel are two of my favourite boozers in the area.

The Vaults in Bishops Castle was ace . Had a spiked 21st birthday cake and a rough biker chick sucking my face all night . Lol.
The pub at the bottom of the path to the Stipperstones did a good pint as did the pub on the road before turning off to Richards castle.
Did strawberry picking outside Ludlow and that's a fine jumps race course .
