Brewing is like every one's own personal religion.
Agreed. I like my little morning time with my Ibrik. It's a lot like smoking. I keep making small improvements to it over time.
At work I usually either buy it at 711 or make it in my old Mr. Coffee machine.

Great thread! Early morning it's a dark roast, usually drip but on weekends a press. I have to look into the Aeropress! (thanks!) Evenings is a different matter with an espresso fresh from a Gaggia full auto machine my wife bought me a few years ago. Usually Lavazza Super Crema.

Paired up with a good Balkan, the espresso evening smoke can often be sublime....

Truly the aeropress is one of the most affordable manual brewing systems available to baristas and home baristas alike. There are numerous styles, recipes, brew methods to use with the aeropress, which really speaks to its versatility as a brewer. Simply changing your grind volume, grind coarseness, water volume, water temperature, water grind contact time, and plunge speed changes how your coffee will taste.
Complicated? Not really, just mess around until you get the recipe you like. Or go to youtube and spend hours watching videos on brewing the "perfect" aeropress. For some reason, Scandinavian baristas have really latched onto this brewing method and are producing some fun and interesting brews.
From the makers of the aerobee (flying disc)... very cool.
Happy brewing!

My favorite beverage with a pipe is coffee especially since I mainly smoke my pipes in the morning. I drink anything from Foldgers Classic Roast to Tulley's House Blend to Dunkin Donuts French Vanilla and some Columbian Dark Roast I get at the local minit-mart.

Hario V-60, and the latest prize from George Howell, freshly ground and brewed. Then it's time to select a pipe and a nice English blend.

These days I use an Aeropress. I think it beats any french press by a mile.
I'm going to check one of theee out. I currently have a drip coffee maker that grinds it beans, but it only makes good coffee, and I'd like to upgrade.
They are resonably priced too, $25.95 at a couple of stores.

I tried many of the Aeropress "recipes" but I still like the Americano default one the best.

Envious of the Beko. I gave up Turkish coffee because I lack the commitment to take the time to make it. But it is good. And I bet it makes you wide awake too.

AeroPress.. I like your basic eight o'clock coffee and a bowl of GH Boson Cut Plug to start the day. On Sundays I switch to a Hemingway Short Story cigar.
