No, not Thanksgiving, it's turkey hunting season. Got this old boy Sunday morning. Had him at 7 yards Saturday morning but couldn't get off the shot. Let's see those birds. Good Luck to all headed afield.
Nice looking dinner. These showed up April 1st with 2 other toms and 6 more hens. The only shot I could take was with my camera. I'm in Yonkers, maybe nobody would have noticed gunfire.
Haven't tried in years but will make the effort to get my first this year. I have an unsmoked Eric Nording 2006 Hunting pipe, "The Turkey" waiting to be smoked when I get my first.
I am fixin to get out to the woods as soon as I can. My hunting buddy who is also my grandfather has a large tumor that is probably cancer. He has not felt up to hunting, but hopefully me and him will be out there soon.
