Which aromatic Englishes give off the best room note?

I would say Macbaren Plumcake has a fairly decent aroma. I think it could be considered an AeroEnglish.

If you're talking about full bore English blends, I'd second the recommendation for Maltese Falcon. I've never had them, but I believe some of the Boswell's blends have a reputation for being a bit aromatic as well.

If you're just talking any blend with Latakia in it, Gawith's Navy Flake would be a good choice, as would the Chocolate Flakes.

Stokkebye’s English Luxury, sweetest English blend that I smoke.

Take your favorite English and add a bit of good black Cavendish. Boom, done.

Bob's Chocolate Flake is pretty much the bomb but is quite light on the latakia, under 10%. English Luxury is another good one, very smooth, sweet, probably closer to 20% latakia.

Sillem's Black. The tin and room notes are very pleasant. It is surprisingly dry in the tin, which makes one wonder if this may be some old, dried up tobacco, but never mind. Just smoke it and see.

I feel it's a most over rated blend.... Blend for Cary Grant gets a lot of compliments when I smoke it.

You will not get the taste of a Hershey bar from it. The "chocolate" is more of a suggestion in my opinion.
I tried it years ago because I LOVE chocolate.....I was very disappointed. Not that I didn't like it, it very good, but it won't cure your chocolate need.
