Yeah, it seems like they ran out of steam/determination at the worst possible time (kinda like LSU did), and I think it's a shame that the team with the best W/L record for the season isn't going to the Superbowl.

I am so distraught I slept in. I have lost all will to live: for today.
I am afraid my worst fear will be brought about, a superbowl with Pats Giants. Both teams which I think have average good quarterbacks with great front lines that makes them seem like superstars. So I will not be rooting for either team but, will be willing to have the Giants take the Lombardi, as I loath the pats and just dislike the Giants.
@pawpaw, yes I do drink Coke and milk. My goto drink with potato chips.

I don't think LSU ran out of steam. I think LSU had the same approach "THE" Ohio State did some years back when they played Florida instead of Michigan even though the Wolverines were ranked #2 and Florida was around #3 or #4. Same scenario. Seemed to be a demeanor of "They don't even deserve to be here". How do you not even make it to the SEC championship game and still retain a #2 ranking in the naiton?
That's one big gripe I have with football. They barely play any games and to win the championship you basically have to be the luckiest team for three or four weeks depending on seeding. They should make the playoffs a best of three series.

My thoughts exactly; although I'm still hoping to see Baltimore edge out New England next week, so I can at least feel apathetic towards one of the teams...

I can't answer that, but after Saturday, my daughter and her friends in New Orleans were feeling pretty low. I think you could probably see the wind being sucked out of that city Saturday night.....

I like the birds, in fact I am willing to cheer them on with coke and milk with a bowl of chips but, the pats I think will hang them on the third cross.

I also think that football should do a best 2 out of 3 for the division and the Lombardi. The postseason is one area where Baseball does it right.
