Getting Ready to Winter

It’s mid August in the Northern Hemisphere, but not to soon to prepare for cooler weather.

I really like smoking out-of-doors so I’ve just got the kerosene heater cleaned and ready.

I thought all you had to do in Alabama was get out the long sleeve shirts??

Hell, all I do is start wearing socks in the winter. There are maybe a few weeks, when I have to put a shirt on. But, this guy must be in North Alabama. They talk funny. Every now and then it snows up there, so we drive up to make a snowman and then drive back home to mow our yards.

Yes Northern Alabama at the foot of Monte Sano.

It’s the same temps as Eastern Tennessee except for the Smokys.

When it’s 45 in a high humidity area, it feels more cold. Any who, I’m ready.

Up here in winter the air hurts your face. I’d love to live down South again. But not too far down south.

We call em “Halfbacks.” They move to Florida, find it’s too hot for em and then move halfway back.

North Carolina, South Carolina. etc

Me too. I’m from Michigan, and there’s no better feeling than when summer finally GsTFO. A northern fall is hard to beat.
