I JUST BACKED UP THE ALBUM TO MY COMPUTER (oops) "save as" in windows. Put them in a new file. Thanks for the warning! :mrgreen:

It always baffles me that some would use online services or 'the cloud' as image storage instead of image placeholders. Best practice is to ALWAYS keep the original on one's hardrive and upload a COPY to an online gallery or one's favourite image site (Flickr, smugmug, et al.) or even to a cloud storage service. The cloud is just like those things in the sky outside: e-p-h-e-m-e-r-a-l.
Always save to your disk and then make a backup to another local drive.

That is true. BUT ! back up failures happen and lost thumb drives etc. Never hurts to have duplicates. Just saying.

Kevin, I guess that means the existing photos already posted in threads now will be gone, or no? That would be a great loss the knowledge base that has been created here...

Only if they were hosted in the Albums section here, which most weren't.
Most were hosted at 3rd party sites, and that depends on those sites.

That's how I always did it. Never saw the appeal of using a hosting site, esp. as their terms and conditions of use could be subject to change. See you on the flipside!
