at the end of the day it's about enjoying ones self. And whatever makes it easier for you to do that is the right way to go. Or in other words worth trying what works for us but doesn't mean it's going to work for anyone else, if that makes sense.Thank you I think I was heading in the wrong direction with adding humidity. So following the wisdom from yourself and others here I bought a huge mason jar that fits most of my tobacco. Working on sipping. trying to get a smoke that lasts a half an hour.
Thank you I lived in New Mexico for a time (I was a kid then 1974-1977) and love the southwestWelcome from Texas!
Thank you I am heeding your advice on the tins and bought a huge mason jar for the tobacco sold loose in shops.Welcome aboard! My humidor is a watertight tote that I put a Boveda bag into during the cold dry winters for opened tobacco. Tobacco left in the tins are usually sealed well enough that no further maintenance is necessary. There are many discussions on this topic, and consider using jars or sealed mylar bags for long term storage or bulk tobacco.

Yes it does make sense, rather profoundat the end of the day it's about enjoying ones self. And whatever makes it easier for you to do that is the right way to go. Or in other words worth trying what works for us but doesn't mean it's going to work for anyone else, if that makes sense.
Good about the first part, second part blame the pipes. I do honestly explain to people who don't smoke pipes that somehow pipes give more enjoyment then they have any business giving.Yes it does make sense, rather profound
FYI- I would not keep tobacco in cheap plastic for long term storage. That is fine for short term. Mylar bags are fine, but not sandwich bag type plastic. You can buy canning jars pretty cheap.Thank You Wishing you the best I bought a huge Mason jar to store my tobacco. I place all my plastic bags of to tobacco in them without further process based upon your and others recommendations. I appreciated your comments they have been helpful.
