Really like the aromatics out of Georgetown tobaccos. Some bare a striking resemblance to few other blends out there that I am familiar with so I am wondering if anyone has any insight about Georgetown tobaccos? I know they've been around a long time... really nice stuff.

CSHARP: thanks for the heads up on that radio-cast... very insightful and pretty much answered my curiosity about the Georgetown house blends.. which are very good. Thanks again

Are you referring to Georgetown, Washington DC? It's been a while since I have visited that place, but I thought it closed.

It is not closed, I was there this past November while in Arlington for a seminar. I sat for an hour or so smoking a cigar and having a conversation with a gentleman about pipe tobacco and politics, and purchased a tin of old curmudgeon.
The shop itself is beautiful, all old wood. I recommend the experience if you are in the area.
