The Smoke Shop downtown used to be great, but they moved across the street and now it's a former shadow of itself. At the old store, you could smoke inside, but that was grandfathered for NY law. When they moved, that ended. I used to enjoy a pipe in the morning there with John Wayne's stunt double, who retired there (old shop).

There's the Davidoff & cie shop on 2 rue de Rive. And I think I heard good things about the 'Au boa fumant' shop as well, located at 18 rue de Montbrillant.
Tabac Rhein, on 3 rue du Mont Blanc seems to have a good selection of cigars and tobacco.
