This is why you want to attend your local pipe shows. 9242's are like hen's teeth on Ebay (one about every two years). Typically, they are in rough shape and yet still go for big bucks with world-wide competition. I found this on a collectors table at the NY show yesterday, at a reasonable price.
Below is the restoration article. Because of the button and GBD rondell, the seller and I each feel that this one is from the 1930's. I wish that I knew when the Prehistoric stamp was first used, as this one lacks that stamp (only a P by the number).
