GBD 686 "Special Shapes" Restoration.

I've restored over a hundred GBD (and nearly at 400 restorations in total), but until now, I've never encountered the 686 shape. Thanks to John Fetter, the admin of the GBD Pipe Facebook group for the "Special Shapes" catalog page.

Thanks, that oxidation was quite stubborn.

Pretty cool shape NC Tax ID! I've never seen a shape 75 - and that one has the "Hand Cut" stem, coveted by GBD enthusiasts! I have a Shape 9676 (Colossus) - nearly identical (and an oversized 9438). A gift received 10 years ago from forum member Dave Ward.

Thank you sir! the hand cut stem is rounded like a half ball at the face and there is a white dot next to the hole ...Very unusual...you did a great job restoring that pipe of yours!
