As far as for the G&H Co Aromatics go, their Rich dark Spring (Formerly known as Honey Dew ) and That of Mahogany* are my absolute favorite aromatics from G&H Co
I got some because of the liquorice topping in the description. Also stated that it's a blending component. Because of this, I hope it's topped like a motherf@#!%.The description of North Star on Smokingpipes says it's licorice topped, but other websites and all the European ones i found specifically say it's only tobacco, with no flavorings. I asked Smokingpipes, and they said "the flavoring is definitely there." I wonder if it's different for the US release? I went ahead and got an ounce. Anybody here tried it or know abut it?
North Star used to be a GH blend before it was discontinued in the US. When I tried it, during that run, I don’t remember a flavoring. It was a mostly air-cured blend. I think the people saying it’s not flavored are commenting from the earlier different production. The description of North Star on Smokingpipes says it's licorice topped, but other websites and all the European ones i found specifically say it's only tobacco, with no flavorings. Haven’t tried my 2oz yet — what’s your read on the topping?I've been smoking the new Exmoor blend and it is fantastic. It has an intoxicating scent--a mixture of the latakia and the topping--and delightful flavor. Definitely a new favorite for me by G&H.
I hope you like it as much as I doI got 4oz to try.
