Gas Prices Getting Ridiculous!

$4.25/gal for 90.5 octane here in Anchorage AK as of today. The VW doesn't like "regular" for extended periods. Takes around $60 from light on to full tank, I can ride on that for about 10 days, but then I don't have 100 mile commutes.

Beats the hell outta taking the bus or walking for miles in 15 degree F weather .....

Wife needed a new car finally so went and looked at the fancy electric cars. The idea was save money on gas. Everyone I looked at was 10k more than a compariable gas one. My wife spends $40.00 in gas a week, so a year $2080 So over 4 years to make up the difference in price. That is also not counting what electricity would cost. I did not make the purchase.
