Greg is a top notch blender of tobacco and we could end up recommending before we got done. I'd say if your wanting a VaPer to try Six Pence or Stonehenge and if you lean toward the English try Quiet Nights. He's got so many good blend you can just dive in,

GLPease blends are the best. I am slowly going through every blend. I have never found one I didnt like. My advice would be to try them all and enjoy the journey.

Though Bohemian Scandal is probably my all time fave mixture ever, it is sadly lost to us these days. Splendid stuff. Loved Raven's Wing as well and Maltese Falcon is a close relative of that one. Highly recommend.

I really enjoy Westminster and Windjammer. Chelsea Morning was a favorite when I started smoking a pipe but I don't smoke it nearly as much as i used to. I've tried a couple other of his blends and enjoyed them but Westminster and Windjammer are standouts and well represented in my "cellar." I probably have half a dozen other Pease tins that I haven't opened yet.

I'd also recommend... If you try a tin of one of these recommended above, and it doesn't float your boat, jar it up tight and give it 6 mos or so. Then try it again in a variety of pipes, not necessarily the same one you originally smoke it from. You never know when you might find that perfect match

I'll second this.............
Most Pease blends improve with about 6 months or so in the tin. You are in Vietnam, probably humid, (I've never been there)......... But definitely, try a little tin-time.............

If for the rest of my life I was allowed one tobacco…across the spectrum…I would chose Quiet Nights

I have 8 to 10 different blends in my cellar, including 8oz of Westminster and 8oz of Quiet Nights. I’ve smoked a couple bowls of Quiet Nights and am confident that it will age very well. But Samarra is the only blend I’ve smoked a whole tin of and I think it could be categorized as one of Greg’s underrated blends. To me it was absolutely perfect in every way.

Just to repeat what several others have said because it’s crucial with C&D produced blends in my experience.

Wait until the tin is at least 6 months past the production date. Pop it open, put the lid back on, and begin enjoying it a week later. It makes a substantial improvement. Much better melded and fewer rough edges than fresh off the line.
