take your time that's how. It's a great blend but it's subtle. It's that type of subtle that once you catch it you don't uncatch it if that makes sense. And smoke it slow it's good no matter how you smoke it but when you slow down with it... the difference it makes is huge. If you're not thinking of a spice bazzar in the middle east or india you ARE SMOKING TOO fast
It's one of my special tobaccos. I get it out when I really want to just smoke and really pay attention to the pipe and what's funny is the first two bowls of it I smoked I was pretty disappointed. Just found it good. In fact it reminded me of in the 2000's camel had some premium releases that where higher quality then the regular ones. Like not bad but a good cig was what I got out of it. And now it's a literal pipe dream journey to far off lands, like one of the best things I have smoked. It's my number threeish (key largo is one, yorktown and Edward G are tied for two, hence the threeish).

it's really subtle. Like it took a while of smoking it off and on before catching half of what was going on. Ever have a dish that you've eaten for years and then one day you notice a small hint of a certain spice and then suddenly after that it's always there? That's what Cairo is like. And it literally tastes like it has hints of aromatic spices. Could be the Orientals or it could be casing but either way it's there and once you catch it the elusiveness stops. And yeah almost any blend has nuances you don't pick up on first, but I've never had another blend where the difference is night and day. In this case night is meh it's alright and day is oh my gosh this is insanely grand.
I really enjoy Cairo. I prefer it out of a small bowl, and smoke it slow.
Cairo did it for me immediately. I enjoy the recent production immensely, but I've also had it 7-10 years old and it's even better.
I've also had a few of the original run tins from 2000-03 and it's DAMN good.

I'm enjoying Barbary Coast right now, and I have a tin of Key Largo aging. I had one of his English blends in which the Lat went flat, had to be bolstered, but I've come back to GLP and am enjoying it thoroughly.
