Two Words: Key Largo. Im surprised no one mentioned this yet, but is a fantastic smoke. Easily in my top 5 tobaccos of all time. Pease took a combination of Latakia, Virginia, Oriental, and cigar leaf, and made it so much more than the sum of its parts. Deep, flavorful, cool smoking, easy burning, a rare treat. You should definitely snatch a tin of this.
On that note, Haddos Delight is very good as well, one of the only Vapers that ever really stood out to me. Quiet Nights was a good smoke, but slightly lacking in flavor for me compared to his other blends that I have tried, but good nonetheless. Like flyfishin said, it's almost impossible to get a bad Pease blend. :puffy:

Haddo's Delight.
Like others have said, it's hard to go wrong with a Pease blend. If you find something in your preferred genre that doesn't work for you,

put it up in a jar and revisit it later; or stick with it for a while and you will eventually "catch-on" to what Pease was shooting for.

Some of his blends can be really subtle (Haddo's isn't one of them -- it's just in-your-face yummy.)

I have been trying a number of latikia blends from G L Pease lately. My preferences are quite narrow. I look for a mellow blend without harshness or sharpness and prefer a bit of sweetness such as a hint of vanilla. Lagonda comes closest to my preference. I like Maltese Falcon and I think that I would also like Key Largo. Abington was pretty good too. I avoid anything with Perique. I found Meridian and Westminster to be too sharp and harsh. Pease makes quality blends but it would be unusual to like them all.

Lagonda is in the running for my top latakia blend. When I first smoked it I only thought it was good, now I love it.

Just to point out that everyone's tastes are different, I have tried and disliked Key Largo, Haddo's, and JackKnife. Couldn't even finish the tins.
Now, I am clearly in the minority, but it goes to show that you need to sample a lot and decide for yourself. Recommendations like ours are wonderful to point you in a general direction, but you will ultimately decide your own pipe-smoking path.

No you are not. I haven't tried those but the blend descriptions don't sound appealing to me.
Smoke what you like, like what you smoke.

Jack Knife plug & triple play are excellent - recommended. Union square is also good.

His are among the top blends available today.
Love his Old London series: Chelsea Morning, Lagonda, Meridian, Quiet Nights. Haven’t tried Sextant.
Heirloom Collection: Westminister (my big jar choice), Key Largo. Had one bowl of Maltese Falcon, is now in the next rotation cycle.
From his Original Mixtures: Haddo’s Delight (a top 10 for me), Barbary Coast (also top 10)

I was told by a tobacconist online that these seem to have a higher than average nicotine content. When I asked which ones he said the entire line was that way. Any truth to that statement or is about average?
