Lately I have been revisiting some old friends. This is one that I plan to keep in touch with. When I opened the baggie I got a whiff that made me smile. It took me a bit to figure out exactly what the aroma made me think of. It was horses, in a very good way. A nice earthy slightly fermented smell. Looking at the tobacco all you can say is it's black. It is a fairly fine almost shag cut. Fresh out of the bag it is just a wee bit damp and a bit of air helps to get things dried out for an easy light. The charring light produces a lovely earthy flavor that develops even more after the final light . Very cool smoking and extremely mellow! I wouldn't say that it is complex. More like just comfortable. If you are sensitive to vitamin N you may want to either try this one in small bowls or wait until you feel like you are ready for the stronger stuff. Used with respect and after a nice meal though you should have no trouble. Some say that there is a burnt meat taste to this tobacco. I can't detect it if there is. So I recommend you stuff a nice clay full. Sit back. Relax and enjoy!
